So writing this review after finishing the story, well writen and overall enjoyable even with the grammar problems that sometimes peaked its head. However im mainly disappointed and frustrated as the hook that got me into the story was marcus’s growing relationship with pearl and having that completely abandoned left me strugling to push through the later half of the story, the best moment for me was serpentine which i belive we never say again so i do aplaud your writing i am sadly left disappointed.

I finally finished reading this story and I got to say that it is very interesting. I try to collect interesting stories (mainly romance) to read and this one has earned its spot on my favorites list. I do have to that this is inspiring me to write something on this site, because while reading this I had a idea for a jasper x male human story with interesting twist on how gemkind came into being (that would be later in the story though). The problem is though I have never used this site for writing, nor do I have the best grammar skills but this a later problem I most likely won't start anything until summer brake so all I have left to is have a good day or night.

He straight tore those bastards up a new asshole. Now he's running the show and working with military personnel, hackers and counterterrorist groups. All from different brands. This oughta be a helluva story.

The whole fall felt contrived, especially with Garnet, of all people, not anticipating his speed, given her future vision and 3 eyes, especially given that he was slowing down, not speeding up, thus if anything, he should have been slower then expected.
This isn't mentioning how all objects fall at the same speed, so he shouldn't have been falling any faster or slower then Steven (after a relatively small amount of time letting air resistance reassert itself) and their combined falling shouldn't have sped them up any. If anything, they had ample time to spread themselves out to fall slower then Connie and take her hand.
There could have been a unique solution of Steven, using his newly acquired shield as a semi-parachute to slow their fall if they were somehow falling faster then Connie.
All this kinda took me out of it. Also felt strange that despite him mentally pointing out the flaws in Lapis's plan to get back with the unrealistic distance you would have to stretch the ocean, he never Actually pointed it out. Also, that Lapis started that while he was sleeping, without even trying to wake him up, given that part of that desperation and hurry was feeling alone with no one on her side when Marcus, explicitly threw his lot in with her. I'll blame the impulsiveness on the Gem Crack for now but this still sticks out to me.

I think he needs to have something to talk besides the fact he fights all the time, Just small talk stuff, if he wants to have any casual friends who aren't warrior-superhero-people.
