21 isn't some 'random' number they thought of. 21 for most people at least when that law was made were a lot more mature then 18 where your just starting out and it's a lot easier to make stupid decisions. 18 is like a 'trial' run of being an adult to see if you can handle it and not f'k up royal where the door is not yet opened but also not locked.

I STILL don't get it how telling the future would 'ruin' ME when it is already ruined. Any bit of help is useful as they could take a different path or action as long as the ring still gets to Mordor and why THAT specific volcano? I'm sure there are other probably more powerful volcanos.

This story is very cute. Still I am surprised on how fast did Lord Elrond adopted her. Even if I do imagine his reasons, being so kind and the need to protect her. But he could also propose for someone else in Rivendell to adopt her, who might have more time to dedicate to her education? after all, Elrond is a busy elf in the war of the ring, and Celebrian is not there.
