I like the title for this chapter. It's intriguing, without spoiling anything that happens.
Aw, Shadow's letter is so heartfelt. It's good, too, that it details what's happened so far in the story. I would like to read more about his 50th birthday party, 'though...
I found Knuckles communicating with the Master Emerald fascinating to read - although it left me with more questions! XD But I'm going to be a patient little bean and wait for what comes next.
The way you write Blaze is wonderful. I adore the way she looks at things so maturely and keeps a focused, balanced view of events.

DAMN, was I excited to see this in my inbox this morning! I had school, so I didn't get around to reviewing immediately, but hey, I'm here now! This chapter was really good and really helped to tie together the two different sides of the story going on. I can practically hear the characters' voices in my head while I'm reading. And Shadow 'writing to' Maria? That. Was. So. Cute. And. Sad. Aaaahhh *hugs Shadow and as a result comes back to reviewing with thirteen broken bones and a missing tooth*
Don't worry about the long wait! I've been doing worse with Legacy... bleh. I need to keep working on that. It's not dead, just on an unintentional hiatus. This story is very awesome as always, can't wait for the next chapter! :D

Brr...those glowing white eyes gave me chills. And I really feel sorry for poor Mephy throughout this chapter.

PROJECT CHAOS CONTROL IS BACK BABY!
My internet's still crapping out on me sometimes, so I hope that this gets to you... This chapter was really good! I could hardly tell that it hadn't been betaread, it was great! (Not sure if it hasn't actually been betaread... or if you're just saying that to trick us...) And I really like the chapter names. This theme you have with single words for names is pretty cool, it really adds to the suspense. Anyways, about the story.
Another awesome bit of the story! I'm loving how everyone's teaming up to say 'screw you GUN' and stop P:CC. Still super excited about Dark Sonic. Question: will Dark Sonic be a thing throughout the entire story, or will- wait, don't answer that, spoilers. Nevermind
I'm assuming that ol' Mephy is gonna be a protagonist in some way? That's really cool. Funny how one can do so much with a mouthless reskin of Shadow. Poor guy... he's been through so much in this story, hope things turn out okay for him ;-;
It's fine if you don't update all the time. This story is always worth waiting. Your personal life is the important thing here. I mean, I haven't updated Legacy for a long time. You're not the only one not updating! Just relax and don't get too caught up in trying to force things out. I think we can all agree that when you try and force stuff out, it ends up bad. Keep going at your own pace. :)
Well, there's not much else I can say about this without just repeating myself and spouting memes. So I'm going to leave this review here (if you liked it PUNCH that like button IN THE FACE... LIKE A BOSS) (I don't know why I wanted to reference jacksepticeye, but I did). Super excited for more Project: Chaos Control maybe soon-ish depending on your schedule. Happy Halloween! BIG chapter! Yay! I've looked forward to this.
I'm not surprised Shadow has access to Eggy's bases and equipment. And trust Tails to figure things out so quickly - little brainiac.
Something tell me Mephiles isn't gloating. XD I also love that you've got the Babylon Rogues in this story somewhere.
Is "uh-oh" a sufficient reaction to poor Sonic's pain? Something told me it wouldn't be a good idea to do that to him.

I didn't review this until now because the first time I read it, I was half-asleep, so I skipped over a lot. I went back and read it again just then. So, Shadow, Silver and Blaze find the computer room, we get a good old 'Aw HELL naw' from Sonic, everybody says 'screw the government' and tries to team up against G.U.N., one finds out how to simply destroy a Super form, it was painful, Dark Sonic appeared, and Iblis is dead (somehow).
Well, that escalated quickly!
Man, so much intense stuff happened in this chapter. Honestly, I was half expecting the Werehog to happen again, because of the whole 'you get your Chaos Energy ripped out, you're gonna have a bad time' thing, but instead... DARK SONIC! THAT'S EVEN BETTER *fangirls and has a seizure while falling of a 3 ft. fence* I can't wait to see how you handle Dark Sonic. I mean, he got a minute of footage in one episode of Sonic X, and that was it. Never mentioned or given explanation. Where does it come from? Can Sonic control it? Is it to do with negative Chaos Energy, or just because you can't make Sonic angry and expect to live? So many questions, not enough answers. I reckon you'll handle him great, though.
Right now, I'm staring at G.U.N. like, 'Oh, you're trying to rip the Chaos Energy out of the most powerful heroes after they saved the world a million times? Tell me again how much you care about the opinions of citizens.' (This is followed by me flipping the bird at them.)
Iblis is dead. How can Iblis die? Iblis doesn't just die, does he? I don't know, I didn't play Sonic 06. Don't want to either. The detail was good. A bit of detail, but nothing too gory and not describing too much. That's the kind of thing I prefer to see with death in stories. Not too censored, not too Hunger Games. RIP Iblis. 2006-2016. Probably won't be missed all that much, except by Mephiles.

The talk between Sonic and Mephiles is great. "Faker Number Two". XD As evil as Mephy is, I can't help but feel sorry for what's happened to him. Manipulating Chaos Energy for their own personal gain? I wonder what GUN is really up to. Poor Blue is trying to be cordial, even in this situation, and getting shot down. XD
