Of course she will take the case and Nick is rightly pissed at the wolves getting the badges, though I think it will be fun having Larry and Garry around.
The revaluation about Nick's mark at the psychotherapist office working at the ZPD was interesting. Coming clean on his actions there and making the decision between law enforcement of conning might be quite the mess as he draws this out longer.
Great to see this chapter. It was a fun read.

A fine chapter, complete with an ending to deepen the case.
Excellent work.

You still have both the humour and the political intrigue that keeps me coming back to this fanfic.

Oh my gosh I laughed so hard when Nick went to see Doc again. "I am the master of my own destiny"
DOUG!?

Going great so far! I actually like the shorter sections. Easier to read, and to digest in one sitting. Hope this form works for you!

Love all the movie references, and all the research you obviously do for these tales. Still could use a spell check, btw, but don't let that take away the spirit of your prose.

I love how you referenced Poirot! You even made Nick just as smug and annoying as him when it came to present the solution to the case!

The chapter read just as well as all the others, which is good. The real question is; Why are you breaking them up into smaller chapters? I'm just curious. Are you doing it so that you can make quicker updates?

While I like long chapters just fine, I think the would prefer more, shorter chapters, more frequently. It's easier to keep track of what's happening, and makes for a more manageable read. of course too short is not preferred either. 4-9k words, leaning more towards the 9k range than the 4k, seems to be about the sweet spot for me with respect to engaging and rewarding content, but still reasonable length.
