Sorry, forgot to add: why did Serafall try a Queen piece first? I don't recall her thought process being explained. Starting from the highest piece, especially since she's a Maoh, given the observations she had about Shinji throughout the chapter seems a bit strange.

This is quite intriguing. Delving into the life of a important, though rather minor, character should allow for some world-building & a view into life of one of the leaders, hints of which were seen this chapter. Regardless, I'm quite partial to Serafall & it's great so far.
Also enjoyable is, what seems to be, the integration of the Evangelion angels into, IIRC, the more traditional style of angels this series has. Very curious.
A potential downside is Shinji. He seemed a bit strangely characterized at times - it's a bit difficult to convey how it seems that way to me, but while I get how his personality is split from being both a fourteen year old or so & five year old combined with trama from a past life, but the shifts & general feeling haven't quite jived with me. Also, the fight was random in that his vocabulary completely shifted to what I'd called a new personality.
One jarring thing to me was Shinji's like of Gundam & how it led into the choice of movie they watched. Not that it was bad, but the readers never learned much of Shinji's new likes & dislikes nor how Serafall learned of them, & in this case, before the reader did.
One potentially understated part of the fight was the jagged sword that pierced Shinji's knee (owwww). Wouldn't it have shattered his kneecap upon impact & if the fallen angel (Jessie) twisted it, it seems as if his leg would be even worse off...
As an aside, I believe Japan police very rarely are assigned lethal weapons, especially for a koban.

Could have anyone from Eva in his peerage whom he got along well with, tho Id think Mari would be at the top of the list as shinji knows shes alive and could prolly easily find out where she is. asuka never attracted me, tsundere type people annoy me. i generally believe that if you cant at least be honest with your own feelings at least to yourself, and if you cant treat the person of your affection decently, then you dont deserve to be in a loving relationship with them. Maybe some of the staff? misato, maya and the 2 bridge dudes, or any students/staff that he had enough regular contact with could be members too. i dont think shinji has enough positive feelings for any of the command staff or anyone else to want to spend potentially centuries around to want to accept them.
divine mother certainly seems like a future antagonist. potential of shinji getting his powers back from her? maybe they were sealed and becoming a devil unblocked the access? or some other process. ooh! maybe she ends up dying, somehow, and he has to take her place and authorities/portfolio. enter tension with a pantheon that has a devil as a god, who is also a subordinate/husband of a maou.

A really intriguing chapter!
Firstly, with Sacred Gears. Given that the world was remade by Shinji's will, could the Sacred Gears in fact be related to the Angels? I don't mean the fuzzy-wuzzy Angels of DxD but the monstrosities of Evangelion.
I mean, if you reckon that each S2 Organ shattered and each piece became a gear, you have a very intriguing scenario shaping up. The Angel-Killer Shinji Ikari, The Child-God facing off against the remnants of his old foes.
The wolves are intriguing but obviously related to Eva given their bestial savagery and green eyes. Which is how I came to the Sacred Gears equalling Angels.
As for a x2 or x3 pawn...I'd suggest Mari. Mari who happens to really enjoy engineering. :D

Yay! I'm so happy that this one is out :D. I've been very excited about it for quite some time. I like the Sailor Moon reference, and the lead in to Serafell's magical girl obsession. It's nice to see that Shinji is at least knowledgeable about the subject and hopefully enjoys it, at least a bit. I'm sure he will have to have some level of appreciation for magical girls ;).
I admit that I'm a little sad that Serafell didn't get to really punish the ones who killed Shinji. Either way they would have ended up dead, but I'm sure it would have been amazing to see her go all wrathful. She still has to find out who was behind it though, so that will be good fun I bet. And if she ever finds out about his mom I'm pretty sure there will be some heated and angry words exchanged.

artemis needs beat up the side of her head abandoning and taking most of shinjis power away god i hope serafall wrecks her and i thought shinjis sacred gear was imagination breaker makes anything you imagine a reality if it is something similar i hope and pray to god he creates his own eva his own size of course shinji needs those badass wings and halo damn it haha.
