I love this X’D. The concept is hilarious, and so far it’s very well written. My best suggestion is to not try and rewrite cannon, but cover the main events or moments where their characters shine through. For example, your audience knows Shanks saved Luffy from a Sea King, but that wasn’t as important to include as Luffy getting their hat and being close to Shanks like in the first chapter. That scene never showed up in cannon, but it easily could have ;). Showing new sides to main events like the sake-cups-of-brother(sibling)hood are good choices too. Rewriting cannon may bog down the story and make it less fun to read.
I do really like how most of this has been more or less Luffy’s point of view, even if continuing like that would get kind of difficult. The fact Luffy knows she’s a girl and hasn’t tried to hide it makes the other characters’ reactions easy to find funny.
Though because several people now know Luffy’s a girl, you can also include their reactions to others mistaking her as a boy (I can just imagine Garp trying to convince Sengoku that “No, really. My grandchild is a girl. You need to change her bounty poster or whoever tries to catch her won’t get the... right... pers... never mind. Want a cracker?”). (Or Ace trying to figure out if it’s better no one is trying to hit on his little sister or rage against the marines for being stupid and possibly insulting towards said little sister by mistaking her as a ‘him’... or maybe having a surprisingly in depth conversation with Izo about things like this).
There are a lot of possibilities, and I haven’t actually found many good stories with fem!Luffy-constantly-mistaken-as-a-guy. This has so much potential!
