Okay. I realize I am a bit late since this Fic was completed so long ago. Not even sure if you read any of this anymore. But I am on a bit of AoGG fanfic binge-read marathon and I absolutely loved this story. There was some kind of magic between them both that is hard to describe. I really cant put my thoughts into words but thank you all the same. I especially loved how they explored each other in every way that might be very difficult to come by nowadays considering how children are exposed to everything by a very young age. And it also reminded me how awkward my teenage years were. And also reminded me a bit of my first love. Sweet 16 yall! :)

Honestly I think any other writer, for any other aogg story, I wouldn’t be able to read this kind of scene for these two. How is it you managed to make it perfect?

Honestly the last paragraph, but especially the last line of this chapter gave me actually chills

"I say, it's jolly cold.": I broke out in laughter.

I gasped when we find out that Anne gave Gil Matthew's pocketknife. On one hand, it hurt, I think, knowing that Matthew is gone but at the same time, I think it shows the pure admiration Anne has for Gilbert - and at least in a sense, love - enough to part with an item from her father and to give it to the person she loves.

I liked the ending.

Thank you for writing this story. I enjoyed it. It was interesting to read a story that was set in Anne of Avonlea and yet was set in various ways in a completely different universe.

I laughed when Marilla is clucking over the fact that there are 12 leaves in the yard! I know Marilla is Marilla and that this is course, an expected reaction coming from her, but at the same time, I can't help but think, "Marilla, it's 12 leaves! It's a yard! A *yard*! Leaves are fine to have on the ground!"

Oh gosh. Marilla lost her sight. I feel bad for her.

"Marilla always said she would rather go blind than endure another headache and she was right.": Hm.

I know there's quite a possibility that Mrs. Gillis telling Ruby that she'll catch consumption by being outside with no coat is just a mother scolding her daughter but I can't help but ask: Is Ruby going to die of consumption in this universe?

"I seem to recollect that neither you nor Gil can be trusted in snow.": I snorted with laughter at that comment.

I enjoyed this. Thanks for writing it!

I enjoyed this chapter. I'm glad that Davy, Dora, and Martin had that wonderful reunion. I can't wait to read more of this!

I've been enjoying reading your latest story so I went back to read this again I had to tell you how much I love your stories. You are the best writer of Anne fanfics.

Yesss! Go Diana! I love that you're also doing so much more with her characterisation!

Yess! I always thought that Anne being Anne, she should have a little more sympathy and fellow-feeling for Charlie (at least initially, before he tried anything) than she does in the books. This chapter had a nice balance I think.

I'm rereading this story because of Gilead and I have to stop and tell you that this is truly one of the most beautiful love scenes I have EVER read. You are such an amazing writer.

So interesting. Gil is the one whom "won't ever marry" or atleast says it as a cover. And Anne thinking about how kissing works and pining after curls and hazel eyes. Hmmm!

Now I need to say it...but how is Anne 16 and not menstruating yet?! I was like 12!

your story is so gorgeous and vibrant. all your characters shine in their own way. i especially loved how anne talks with matthew during that dreadful storm. and the flashback gil had in this chapter. anne is more anne here. it's all different but the same, if you get what i mean. thank you so much for sharing this <3

Hello, my darling kwak! This is my first review of your fic, and I would apologize if I was truly sorry —which I’m not—ONLY because I was so desperate to continue reading that I didn’t want to stop at the end of each chapter. Please forgive me? I know how wonderful reviews feel, but hopefully this one will make up for all of those nonexistent ones!
This story has been so CHARMING. I have been thoroughly enchanted by it, and even rec’d it to my sister, who doesn’t read fanfic. She thinks I only read porn. She is mostly correct, but I make exceptions for well-written stories of any rating!
I have been on an AoGG kick lately, as I just binged both seasons of “Anne With an E” last week while sick in bed. What a surprisingly modern retelling! I thoroughly enjoyed it, though, and even prefer Amybeth McNulty to Megan Follows (I know, right?!). Amybeth’s Anne seems more awkward, more realistic, yet effervescent and fun. So naturally when I finished I turned to FFnet.
(Is it blasphemous to admit I’ve only ever read the first book?) I intend to read the others now, but I think you may have spoiled them for me! Can I just say again how much I loved your story, and your take on these recognizable characters? Because I do! I am now eager to see what else you have written.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us. ️

Well, it seems I'm missing another chapter, I can't find the chapter when Anne and Diana arrive in Avonlea, according to reviews that is chapter 24, but in the chapter 24 that I can read you can find the picnic and Fred and Diana reunion that apperentely happen in chapter 25.

I Hope you can fix this.
