Don't be so hard on yourself! This is a sweet little story and it doesn't suck at all. :) If I can make one suggestion: try breaking up your longer paragraphs into several smaller ones. It'll be easier for readers to follow that way.

Would you do another with them?
Like a story where Sister Julianne and Chummy and/or Sister Mary Cynthia were riding in the dark after a birth and are attacked by some drunks and Peter comes to the rescue and gets like stabbed or something while protecting them? That would be an awesome story, maybe as good as this one!
