Really great chapter! Love how many hats that Tom is balancing and that he is aware of the Seska issue. Also nice twist having the ship thrown so far across the galaxy so they are facing very different challenges than Janeway.

I have to wonder how this version of Tom and Neelix will get along, given that Tom is unlikely to focus on Kes. Neelix clearly has Tom's number, though.

There is no doubt that Tom would have been excellent at this game. It's interesting seeing him make the calls, but making so many of the same calls as Janeway did.

This is such an interesting role reversal but I think the emerging of what Tom did in canon and what he's doing here was really nicely done in this chapter.

Oh, so interesting! We all know that Tom has that serious side to him, really nice idea to explore what might have happened if instead of becoming a drunk he went a different route.
