Yay for updates!
One of my favorite things in this chapter was the slight nuances that reveal deeper truths, especially the fact that Ansgar was the one who treated John in the first place. Great plot touch. Speaking of Ansgar, he's certainly no fool and not afraid tog et under John's skin a bit. I love that. He deserves to squirm a bit.
And that sneaky kiss! You had to go there, didn't you? And that last line? Gah, I love it all.
Wonderful job as always. Looking forward to more!

I love this already! The meeting between Smith and Pocahontas doesn't seem too contrived or forced and the following event flow very nicely. Of course she would get left alone with him and you're making us wait for the good stuff, but I suppose I'll forgive you.
Patricia seems...nice. If not a little chatty. I like Eva, personally.
