Well for What I see Link and Zelda's relationship is in some kind of limbo. They are no there yet but still making slooooooow, horrible slow, steps to an actual romance.
Zelda's insecurities are quite understandable. Link did care for Midna a lot and the way he spoke to her about Midna, makes Zelda think he did love her in a romantical way. Then is Zelda's position as a future Queen. She does not want to drag Link into that big role she has and tie him. So... yes they are and no. Still Dark is using her fears to mock her and break her... so...
Still Link is quite in love of The Hylian Princess.. so

I find the character Naru to be extremely cute, and how a kid should behave, especially a one who's a little girl being taken care of by Link. Having played the Zelda games and knowing his nature, it's no surprise she's a litte tomboyish and headstrong like her big brother. Keep up the good work, I look forward to the next chapter.

I really appreciate all of your characters, Naru included! I like that she's intuitive and smart, but still has those 'child moments' where she doesn't know what to do. It shows that she's a strong spirit, but still an innocent child. Keep up the good work, and I'm glad you appreciate my reviews!

I'M TRYING NOT TO CRY BUT I AM CRYING!
okay! First. I want to say "I noticed the wolves you sneaky thing you" Link, upon seeing the mark on her leg and the wound on her arm, blames himself for her injuries. It didn't slip past me that both of those injuries are caused by a Link that is not Link (Dark and an actual Wolf, mirroring his Wolf form) I actually had to stop reading to yell "YOU'RE SO CLEVER" at my screen which caused my sister to look at me weird.
Secondly: I have literally been counting down the days till this updated. It was Christmas Eve and I was like rocking back and forth thinking "only 4 more days!" So I was super SUPER Excited for when I got the email saying you had updated!
I thought for sure that this chapter would just be Zelda's journey back to Kakariko and I would have to wait another month for her to be reunited with Link BUT THANK GOODNESS THAT WAS NOT THE CASE!
(Also I just love the way you wrote Epona. Like... I love Epona so much sorry I'm crying)
Naru as a character is adorable and I love her. I don't think she's annoying (which is always a risk when writing a fan-character) and I don't think she's "too childish" she's just right. She has childlike tendencies, because she's a child, but they don't define her character.
Naru bursting into tears at seeing the mark on Zelda's leg... I'm trying not to choke up again. It actually BROKE my heart. The idea of this poor kid hearing Zelda's screams and cries from across the country just... god can someone please just give Zelda and Naru a massive hug (preferably Link... can Link and Zelda just adopt Naru? thank you)
