It's wonderful that Collie is discovering more and more of her Dwarf traits. I wonder if the Dwarves are aware when Collie snap their photos. Just imagine the oohs and aahs and the endless questions of 'how did you do that?':D Or how happily she would show them to her grandma if/when she gets home (like holiday photos) - Grandpa's brother! King Under the Mountain!:D:D The scene with Bilbo is cute as well hilarious (how I wish this is a movie, lol.) and it's good that for once Gandalf is laughing instead of making so much fuss where Bilbo's concerned. Not that I think he shouldn't care, but sometimes he fussed too much.
I wonder if Dwalin will be training her to fight or maybe Fili will teach her to throw knives since she is a good pitcher?

Yes! This is amazing! So much better than my braid idea! The missing mountains thing! No body has ever mentioned that in any fanfic I've ever read! Dwarves paranoid twitchiness due to lack of mountains! Yes! And bilbo the sneaky bastard scaring one of the dwarves and them retaliating with their dwarves fighting skills! Never ever! This is amazing! I love it! It's kooky and great with the uniqueness of that fic where bilbo asks questions like "if nobodies ever spoken to Smaug how do you know his name?" Or " if the iron dwarves sent an envoy to that meeting why isn't that envoy traveling with them back to the iron hills?" This is amazing! And the dwarves would be so good at baseball! Or rugby! And the Ponca elves would like basketball or soccer and the humans hockey or something! And hobbits golf because of the hills and the general boringness of it! This story gets better and better! And sassy bilbo! I love it! And collie singing that song! I love that song! It's perfect for a modern girl in middle earth! It has no references to anything other worldly , it's simple, and generally timeless! And Aslan! I feel like aslan and Gandalf would be tight! More dwarf culture please! Nature vs nurture! Also quick question does collies phone have music?

I've just read the review by Guest - the idea about the braid is very good. That her grandma taught her the braid and Collie (maybe grandma too) not being aware of what it meant in Dwarf custom. And that leads her to talking about her grandma and what little she knows about her grandpa.
Just my opinion on her/his idea, thank you:)

I think it would be really cool if Collie did throw her hair up in a braid casually one day while focused on something (like if Thor in taught her to carve) and the dwarves all start calling her princess. She has no idea why and fili and kili smugly say it repeatedly over supper so she breaks down and demands an explanation. Then they're all "if you didn't want us to you shouldn't be so formal!" And she's like what the heck are you talking about. Then balin most likely, explains to her that her braid tells everyone that she is of the durin royal family. And then the boys jump in going "I understand why uncle would teach you that first but it's so stuffy" and Thor in going "I thought you boys had your cousin under your wing and taught her of the pride of her heritage" and then collie going all "my grandma taught me how to do this thank you very much!" And then it segues into her talking of frerin and her gran's relationship.
