Kamchatka - I haven't heard of that place in a while. I used to live on one of the Aleutian islands to the east of Kamchatka. I don't know if the weather at Kamchatka is as bad as it is in Aleutians, but it would be a hellish place to be stranded in the winter. Even in the summer it was cold and rainy and windy.

I am hooked! The setting is clever! No desert island trope, more danger! I like this. I also like very much your Darcy, who seems quite faithful to his original Regency counterpart (and a doctor! Unfriendly but always willing to do the right thing, even when he is ill). I am not really a fan of 1st person narration, but so far it seems to work in this story. My only complain would be Elizabeth in the second chapter. I see her reaction a bit too unrealistic for the situation she is in. Never been in a plane crash, but I think some shock would knock in, meaning confusion and numbness before being lucid enough to act/becoming a leader/help others. However, this is really a minor thing - I just love how you worked canon characters in this making them original. Also, I am glad you put in people from different countries. And Russian language! Woo-hoo. Brilliant work!
