Wow... much info... but so so real and so much feelings attached to them.. so very sad knowing that if only they had talked it out rationally...but then everyone knows when you're in love everything goes upside down, sideways, spiral downwards and overboard... such is love even when one has yet to declare...
Let's hope Darcy will recover and be bold... Elizabeth to perhaps be more understanding and kind to herself. She needs to see her own worth, then maybe they would have half the chance...but if Darcy is with another and vice versa, hopefully they can still be friends or not...
But most important of all.. Where is the Rescue?

The communication, vulnerability, and acceptance are outstanding. Only, why was Elizabeth, the black sheep of the family, burdened with her mother's medical bills? Where were her accomplished favored sisters? Why didn't they fund their mother? Or stand up for their bullied, unfavored sister? Actually, why were any of the children burdened with their neglectful adult mother's choices?
Darcy was exceedingly kind to pay the bill. I imagine infidelity is a sore spot with him, given his father's sins.

Thank you very much for the new chapter. It is interesting to hear more about the past. How both of them are happy to clear things from their past, seeing how they have both grown, but to fearful of tomorrow, of course their survival but not only.

The character growth and reflection in this chapter is off the charts.
The part about Bella’s parent’s denying testing for a disability is sadly very real still today. Dealing with this with three families right now. Heartbreaking for the kids.
