I am so happy to see the update! This is amazing, your brain is amazing! Here we have an Elizabeth that seems to be the very definition of street-smart, but whose intelligence and capabilities cannot be measured by any conventional methods, hence her poor performance in schools. She has been deathly afraid of flying all her life, and yet in this story, she is capable of immediately organizing all passengers to work together. The scenes you describe are incredibly painful, it is horrible to even imagine such a scenario. The poor Chinese boy broke my heart, his pain so real. Love Kitty and Charlotte, and the Russian lady, who seems to understand them, but not be understood in return...

So many sad things going on. The incident with Charlotte, with the wire going through her shoulder, reminds me of 2 different Gray's Anatomy episodes. (LOL!) And how sad that Lei's little sister didn't make it. I know he's upset, but to attack and kick Darcy like that. Ugh.
I am curious, though - it seems that no one has thought to check on any of the flight crew? Did they all die? Disappear? Because it seems that there are no flight attendants helping now? Hmmm...

Secondly - your short recap doesn't do justice for the brilliant beginning of this story.
Thirdly - I have no words to express how extremely happy I am that you're back to continue this one. You're brilliant! If there's anyone who is suitable and qualified for writing thrillers - it's you! I love them, and it's a real treat to have them from someone like yourself.
This chapter was quite harsh with its intense situations, but we also got to learn more about Elizabeth and some of her and Darcy's background.

This is so different from canon and most fanfics, but also so good! I really want to know more! A whole new view on the classic story, but very promising, and very nice to have our beloved character in a new kind of setting.
