man I totally vibe with Shizu. like the entire idiotic fangirls who are the ones being protected from being vampire food, and her general annoyance with them all and the insomnia nightmares which are very unhelpful...i really don't know why they don't just try to tell her and yuki their origins?

I love this book so much! I have never related so much to a character like I do with Shizu. I absolutely love this. She is so realistic and relatable. I hope you plan to continue this. It's really amazing

I freaking love Kaname! I mean I understand his faults. Being 10000 year old does that to you. He is arrogant and can be manipulative but that doesnt stop me from loving him Cz he did so much to protect yuko and he does have morals or understand them somewhat? But he is not an evil or bad person. This makes me love him so freaking much! Please please please update! I haven't ever read a story like yours before and there are so few good ones and they just happen to be SIs which I love too. But please update! It's been soooooo long and I'm craving an update!

I love what you have so far, and I agree Yuki is a HORRIBLE protagonist! She has the personality of wet cardboard I swear! But with Shizu's personality being so rough around the edges I could see her getting pissy with Kaname about feeling patronized with how he treats them, having a REAL conversation. That's one thing really lacking in the original work, is people just talking to each other and communicating like in a real relationship, romantic or otherwise.
Also possible spoilers; Kaname really loves Yuki, to the point where despite his own feelings when she chooses to be with Zero instead he respects her choice and lets her go without any real fuss. I feel if he were to have that same kind of love for Shizu and she made it known that she didn't like how he was talking to her he would respect her and change his approach to how she says or what he would assume she would want to be treated.

Maybe you should just follow the manga, make Shizu see Zero drink Yuki's blood fot the 1st time, she was curious because of the noise and the blood's scent, and she push Zero from Yuki and put her sword to his throat ?

For Yuki to be less annoying, maybe you should read the manga, which is finished, her eyes are less big than in the anime and you don't have to hear to her cringy voice (I like the VO because it fits her but it is still annoying, even more in french because it is cringy and I don't like it)

Hey, you wrote "They have always been the same, and in 16 years of seeing the man many times..." but the 'human' Shizu and Yuuki have know Kaname since they were 5 and are now 15 years old, which make 10 and not 16 years of 'knowing and seeing him.
