I knew when I saw a new chapter, that I needed to start at the beginning and I'm glad I did. The scale of what's coming is quite a different beast than canon, and I imagine it's not an easy train to steer. Love where you're going with it so far, and I'm looking forward to more.

In Ancient Rome, the Plebes threatened to leave patrician dominated Rome and found their own republic. That is how they got to have one of two consuls be a plebe and get more rights.
Could the Muggleborns start their own schools with the knowledge of the Prime Minister and Queen and the legal blessing of the Wizengamot?
Surely once Hogwarts finds out that more than five hundred new Muggleborns will enter each year, they won't want Muggleborns and Muggle raised Halfbloods (except Harry Potter) to enter their school. Nor will they be made comfortable at Hogwarts, now that Dumbledore has agreed to "tread lightly" on blood topics and issues. I really can't see the Minister or the Wizengamot happy about new Muggleborns flooding into their school.
We see NymphadoraTonks already feeling unhappy at Hogwarts. Presumably Pureblood Supremacy will be taught more openly as will the new Wizarding law. Or will Dumbledore expect new Muggleborns and their parents to learn quickly once they step into the Leaky Cauldron?
Speaking of which, I expect to see a new ban on Muggles (and perhaps Squibs) even entering the Leaky Cauldron. Perhaps, only Hogwarts teachers will be allowed to bring in new Muggleborn students.
I fully expect to see separate schools for Mugglevorns and Muggle raised halfbloods. Perhaps Gamp, Malfoy, Dumbledore, and Bones (along with Sirius Black) will sit down together to make such plans. I see them being educated separately, socialized separately, and living separately. And eventually shunted out of the Wizarding world or allowed to set up their own shops in a shopping complex with anti Muggle wards (leaving out their parents and non Magical siblings). If the new Muggleborns are lucky, they will have their own schools, their own shops, a separate portal to Gringotts, and almost never interact with Purebloods or established halfbloods. A token few Muggleborns (Hermione Granger?) might go to Hogwarts but made to feel their lack of status every year. They might be acccepted in Wizarding society if they fully assimilate and obey all the petty rules. But they will get no jobs in the Ministry unless they marry Purebloods.
For jobs, I predict that Muggleborns will be encouraged to emigrate. If they stay, they can take jobs in non Magical Britain, or in the new schools and shops for Muggleborns. Yes, I predict an aparthied society. I predict that either the separate schools and shops are kept well hidden from the Wizarding society by intent and law so that there is little to no interaction, or that there are periodic "riots" attacking these Muggleborn establishments to "teach them their place". I am basing this on segregation in the USA 1870-1970 and on the Tulsa riots of 1921.
We see that Ted Tonks is unable to find a job as a Healer or hold down another job in the Magical world. I don't know why he can't get a job in non magical Britain. Since his wife Andromeda refuses to leave Wizarding Britain, Ted can't leave and go to the Magical United States, Canada, or Australia. I wonder if Tonks will leave once she is of age. There is no Amelia Bones, no Mad Eye Moody, no Shacklebolt in the DMLE to promote her career.

Oh my God, not only has this updated, but the plot has gone from chicken soup to chicken curry!
And by that I mean it's thickened, and started getting SPICY!
Don't worry about taking your time. Life comes before fanfiction. I'll be here, eager to read the next chapter whether you post it next week or next decade.
I'm still waiting for a Ranma fic to update that's been on hiatus since 2007, all because the author swore the story was still being written, and mentioned they were reworking the chapter in 2012.

nice though i'd like to point out in a conflict with magicals on one side and muggles on the other the magicals will win 10 times out of ten since without magic of their own muggles will never be able to get to the magicals past all those unplottable enchantments and anti muggle protections

Wow, this is incredible! Obviously I hate that Dumbledore is forced to make this compromise (and I’m sure it will take a hit on his public image, though probably regain him some support from the old families) but it’s done so realistically and I love the idea of the three of them working to at least one common goal. Your characterization of Gamp and his backstory is so believable and really humanizes him - the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I also love his internal perspective on Malfoy and Dumbledore. I absolutely can’t wait to see where this goes!

Dumbledore should leave them to their own devices. Let them stew in the mess they created.

Wow! New chapter is awesome!
Also I think, this will not end well.
Either wizarding britain will fall into a civil war, revolution or even splinter into 2 or more new nations

I saw that this story had updated so i decided to read the whole thing from the beginning again. Lovely story, some of the most fleshed out characters and versions of the wizarding world i've ever seen. I hope you keep it up, since this has been a joy to read and the new wizard babies haven't even really been introduced to magic yet!

20 chapters of an entire society sitting on top of an unexploded bomb, parceled out over the course of 5 years. Delightfully tense.
