My guess is she was about to spill some embarrasing secret of Gandalf"s and he cast a spell on her. Maybe. . or she got him angry. Though i don"t think Gandalf would get angry, seeing as she's drunk.
Or she found the secret bog of the fairies of scarlet sobriety and they are such stick-in-the-muds, they made her silent to keep her from bringing more drunken friends to their haven.
