I know this is fiction but the thought entered my head and I wonder what you think - do the Hardys pay the Hardy Detective Agency for Walter's time? If not, what a sweet deal. I also find it cute that Joe is getting along with Butch and Frank is making waves. Must be Nancy's bad influence :)

This was wonderful! Thank you for reposting it. Small typos throughout, but you got the characters perfectly. I couldn’t ask for a better story, except, maybe add George.

I really love this story! Thank you for posting it again for which I have a chance to discover it. I have been on a Francy reading marathon (I also read N/N and N/J stories but Francy is my favorite although I also love Joe and the stories I read about them, I also like a lot! I am a Nancy Drew fan first so no Frank/Callie stories for me. I’ve also been reading your other stories too.

Thank you for reposting this! I was talking about this story with a friend a couple years ago about how much we liked it but neither of us could find it, or even remember for the life of its what it was called! I really enjoyed it from start to finish: the Frank/Nancy relationship (and how half their romantic moments are interrupted by breaks in the case), your fond characterizations of Joe and Bess, the new characters you introduced and differentiated so well and made us care about them, and the beautiful way all the pieces of the puzzle slowly came together. It was great to read it again and I always look forward to more of your work!

This was an amazing, well-plotted, well-written story and thank you so much for sharing it with us! Personally, I think your strength is in your descriptive writing. I can still picture Frank and Joe diving, looking for the gun. Your descriptions of those underwater scenes were mesmerizing and made them come to life. Same for, believe it or not, the scenes where the characters were eating - the descriptions of the some of their meals had me salivating! LOL! The descriptions of the settings were also amazing. You have a way of bringing the entire story to life so it jumps off the page. I don't have to try and picture the scene - all I have to do is 'watch' the movie you've already created.
Your plotting is also really wonderful. You give us enough plot twists to keep us guessing but also give us enough answers so we don't feel like we're being strung along. Stories where the plots just keep twisting and turning and the protagonists never make any discoveries until the very end - they lose me very quickly. Anyone who wants to learn how to write a well plotted story needs to read yours! Thank you for keeping me on the edge of my seat while still giving me just enough information to keep me coming back for more.
Your characterizations were absolutely wonderful. None of the main characters 'took over' the story. They all worked well together, each of them using their individual strengths to finally solve the murders.
Your OCs were perfectly written. There were a lot of them, but none of them overshadowed the main characters. I have to say my favorite OC was - Butch! I loved how he and the Hardys were initially adversarial but then he and Joe developed something of a friendship.
Thank you again for sharing this story with us. Everything about it was so well done. It was a true pleasure to read. I look forward to your next story! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

You know a story was good when you get to the end and have that moment of "wait, no, there's got to be more!" I hope you do write another story in this universe. This one was great. The mystery was well-crafted, with plenty of tantalizing clues and misdirections; the scenery, characters, and action jumped off the page; and the character interactions were realistic and engaging. I really enjoyed how you built up the romance between Frank and Nancy without pushing Joe to the background. All three detectives played valuable parts in solving the mystery. Thanks so much for re-posting this! I'm looking forward to more from you.

What a lovely, relaxing chapter. I enjoyed everything- Joe interrupting lunch in true younger-brother style, the brothers' surfing competition, the closure of them having dinner with Mr. Airedale and Melinda, Bess and Joe's friendship, and of course the beautiful heat between Nancy and Frank.
Nancy's wicked smile after the kisses in the elevator was great, but this line is even better: "Her heart, a heart not easily persuaded, was telling her Frank was the one." That caution is very in-character for Nancy and it makes what she and Frank have even more special. I wish they'd have a chance to sit down together, figure out where this relationship is going, and then let it go there.

Oh, what a wonderful story you crafted here. The final chapter left room for hope and a meaningful relationship with Frank and Nancy, in a sweet and lovely way. How realistic and romantic that Nancy kept dreaming of Frank and that passionate kiss; the time in the elevator; their time together overall. I could almost envision her smirk as she contemplated the possible lustful affair, even though she wanted more. And the ending line simply was wonderful.
Throughout the story, you maintained a great pace, a fantastic blend of characterization and development, and a superb mystery. You have an engaging writing style and you understand how to craft a story. You also managed to give pretty equal playing time to all three detectives, which is not an easy thing to do. Above all, your sense of realism is excellent. Thank you for sharing your talents!

Ah, you're welcome. I'm glad I could help. Also, a third story would be great. Just don't take too long.

What a perfect ending-thank you. Yes, Murder by the Sea is next to finish before starting another-for those who haven't read that yet, start you won't regret it.
