I have been reading this, in a rather confused state. I have done my best to continue with it but have had to stop to frequently look up a few things. I am very familiar with mass effect, so when I see something that I don't recognize, I have to parse out is it something of your original creation or is it from the starship trooper novel or expanded universe. I have seen the early starship trooper films but have not read the novel or got my hands on a ttrpg. it was something of a relief to figure out that, oh wait this is a sequel! it really might be worth posting in the beginning of the first chapter that this is in fact a sequel. that would have saved me some confusion. I am going to stop reading this to go read the first one and hopefully that will make a lot of things clear when I reread this. enjoying it, there were some typos here and there but the overall quality of the writing was top notch, I just was lacking the necessary references.
