Poor Poor council. They still believe they can actually fight with the Wardens. Well, they will be in for a rude surprise when they do. Keep it up.

Thanks for the update; it is always surprisingly interesting to see these top-down political discussions. Shame the Citadel is in the dark to the grander threats the galaxy is currently in play. Looking forwards to the next chapter.

Well, welcome back.
Good to see the Rachni finally getting away from citadel space.

You know a fic is good when you can just pick up a new chapter and understand the plot

always glad to see an update. i do hope we can get a full translation/explaination of the Rachni's perspective at some point. i understand parts of it, but not all, though I may need to go back and read the last scene with the rachni again to try and sort it out. for a split second, i misread simple clothes as simple robes, and combined with Inheritor I thought the Librarian was there and almost flipped my lid. for my sanity, I re-read it and realized "oh, it's just a reclaimer. we're all good". i also want to see where sneaky spectre lady got off to, but I have a feeling we will learn that through the Normandy's POV. i shall patiently await the next installment.

Dealing the Citadel Council is a pain in the ass with their arrogance and skepticism. This is the result of a complacent government who have never face a true galactic war and close to annihilation. Humanity have fought for survival and Covenant executed genocide towards faith of their gods. In the end of the long crusade, both seen the lies, truth, and horrors beyond unimaginable. Which goes to stand that the Warden, the post Human-Covenant civilization are determined to not made the same mistake. The Citadel for them is a bunch of spoiled kids who are ignorant of the dark.
For 2,000 years, they aren't growing as a proper space-faring civilization but scavenging the remains of the corpse from the previous race that have come before. Mislead, controlled, arrogance, have they become. It's a sad affair but also irritating the voice of Tevos ego who thinks they're in control and Sparatus pride of his society. All of them are a bunch of fools. The Warden's unity cannot be broken for they have seen the horrors. They know the enemy and must extinguished it.
Tevos is a goddamn foolish bitch who thinks she could see a way of breaking the Warden's cohesion of faith each other. What a bitch, a nasty egoistic bitch.

It took 15 tries for for fanfiction to even acknowledge this chapter existed but I stuck through it because I couldn't wait any longer to read it
