Ahh, I can't wait to see how this goes! Writing adult version of the HA cast isn't always easy to do, but this felt so natural and smooth. I actually kind of like Bart, or I liked his interactions with Helga, at the very least. The little mentions of other members of the show is great as well. (I hope we get to see a little of Gerald/Phoebe too, those two are adorable together.)

first off, thank you for my gift! I've been going through a lot lately so I apologize for taking so long to review and read. you are excellent at words, my dear. this whole chapter is beautifully written and exceptional work. I absolutely loved it. So here is my infamous read through reviewI love the details about Arnold not liking poetry and why- it is SO totally him and something I never really thought much about. great tidbit there right off the bat. damn, I loved that poem dude I lose my keys everywere. And my phone. I'm a lost girl lol Oh my gosh I love that he was reading that while waiting for her that's glorious interesting at how Helga is acting. I love that they are together though. totally what I wanted <3 (that's a heart) gosh I loved poetry in high school. we read the river spoon anthologies and I just about died as they were amazing. i miss those days. I should really go back to school if I wasn't so darn poor and unambitious. I thought about going for English and creative writing but that doesn't get me much of anywhere besides making my fics clean and wonderful like yours is hahaha fruity crap I love it I love the constant butterflies. So Arnold and so darn cute. aw daydreaming arnold. So perfect. being short, I understand not being able to keep up with others. I feel your pain. I LOVE THIS lineone glance and he's been chasing her storm for more glimpses ever since." now THAT'S poetry. dammit they are best friends. I'm if you know this, but I absolutely adore Gerald with like my whole soul so this is gold. THIS CONVERSATION IS PURE LIQUIFIED GOLD I'M TELLING YA. I love Gerald and Helga interactions because if they'd just knock it off they'd see how much in common they are and be that weird kinda friends who always have each other's back but like to pick on each other. like siblings really. one time I left cool aid (grape, obviously) in my locker for an entire school year and I swear that stench meant I'd made alcohol. ahh... eighth grade. I digress. I love how you are interweaving poetry through this. it is absolute perfection and adds to how much Arnold is thinking, nay, stuck on Helga words. hahaha why and what drugs you were on. Gerald totally talks like me. I'm like if Gerald and Helga raised a child Holy smokes I thought I lost my review this app is messing with .e. onward bound! Oh boy a class with my favorite 4some (Not creepy I swear) Oh boy. this Bart guy seems to be wriggling his way into a fire only Arnold can subdue. I likey. For some reason, despite the fact that i definitely have you on my author follow list, I never got notified about this story at all? what the heck FFN. The only reason I'm here now is because I decided to take a look at the H/A FFN tag.
I agree with Arnold on the poetry so much. Not that I hate it, but some of it is just too much, especially if you don't have specific info to put it into context for the old poems. That being said I really like the poems you've used here.
I liiive for Arnold pining after Helga. Which isn't much of a surprise considering how much I loved "The Sensation of Falling" (I am very much still looking forward to its sequel, but I'm also really excited for this one and the other fic you mentioned you wanted to tackle because I just love the way you write these two).
I'm very interested in HA's backstory here, how they became friends/what Arnold saw exactly since you mention both movies didn't happen in this verse. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the whole thing with Bart plays out exactly. I really love the way you have Arnold compare her to a whirlwind. And I really like everyone's interactions so far.
