Nice setup for the story the description outlines. Probably best that Kate not accept immediately. Once Rick had a chance to think about it, his priorities have seemed to change regarding the Detective. Want to see where this story goes and just how secret the relationship will be. I can see them keeping it a secret from Montgomery(eventually Gates), Espo, Ryan, and Lanie but how will Rick keep it a secret from Alexis and Martha. It seems like this could be a long story...

Good start. You're on a roll. Looks like a light hearted fun story. Always up to read one of those. Or one of your more intense ones if it turns into that. Now and then you take a turn off the dock into some pretty hot situations, but so far this one is just light hearted fun.
