There are five boys in his dorm not seven. Also, as his class size (his whole year) only amounts to 40 students, he should know every name. Anyway, IF the average is 40 per year, that's 280 students, but apparently the following years had baby booms after Voldie's defeat. In that case you might want to add another 50% to first year. So, 40 times six is 240 students and another 60 firsties equals 300, let's say. Times seven books equals 2100 books times G4 equals G8400.
