So Roshi and Son Goku have been actively fighting off Kaguya/Kannon's presence in their minds from the start due to their knowledge of spiritual matters while everyone else was too confused about the voice and their situation to even get a clue as to what was going on and just decided to make the best of their situations. This puts Roshi and Son Goku in the perfect position to become the MVPs of this battle against Kaguya/Kannon since they have established themselves as outside her immediate grasp and can potentially destroy her body while her mind is distracted by the other Tailed Beasts and Jinchurriki.

Oh good, you're back, and it looks like Kaguya is finally making her move. Looks like we finally have an idea as to why it took so long for Son Goku to finally show up. He probably had an idea as to what was happening and deliberately kept his connection with the other Biju as loose as possible so as to avoid getting caught in the trap set for them.

The one issue I can see is the whole speed of the biju thing. They should’ve easily been able to catch up but you probably didn’t let them for plot. The other thing is that they should’ve shot a biju bomb at the ship after they found out ace wasn’t on it.
