It always bothered me that Severus never thought to amputate the cursed appendage, then again that may have been a bit too gory for J.K. Rowling’s tastes.

I’ll ignore the ‘been down here for several hours’ statement in light of the fact that he was unconscious for an unknown amount of time.
How exactly would the House Elf species have managed to survive to the modern age if they weren’t being allowed to reproduce?
Can I just ask who it was that named Mario and Luigi that? I only ask because those two names wouldn’t have been used in association with one another until AFTER James and Lily had already died.
