Again I recommend looking at the comics series: Seven Soldiers of Victory. There's alot I mean alot of "meat" in there for Klarion's character, from his absent father, the backwards slightly twisted puritans who use magic to make the dead serve them in manual labor, his complicated relationship with his older sister Beulah, and his Mother. His people also have their own salem-esque religious fanatiscism example shouting, "Croatia" is like shouting, "God or Sweet Jesus!"...They live underground and are the great great great descendents of fairies breeding with humans! (Which I especially like: because it makes me feel like Klarion is like Tinkerbell, can't handle too many emotions at once, hence forth he whines cause when he's nice he's nice, but when he's bad he's bad, just like Tink.) There's the familiar relationship, the evil Horrigal after him, and his love of adventure, exploration and curiousity. Plus his people when he tried to save them from being destroyed nearly burn't him at the stake for being a heretic! That alone could mess somebody enough to have them go all evil or at the least become jaded enough to consider the light! I recommend reading that comic. It will give you inspiration. Right now this story feels kinda dry. I can tell you loss some of your enthusiasm, which is okay, I mean I get pulled all the time by other interests. Instead having the situation dependent on the characters each trying to knock on his door and get him to join them. Maybe put them in a situation where they have to interact with each other. Example create an O.C. that kidnaps ...oh I don't know...Batman, because oh OH OH! I GOT IT! Introduce from the Justice League Cartoon, MORGAN LE FAY AND HER BRATTY SON MORDRED! WHOSE WORSE THEN KLARION! It will soooo work! I can see it now, KF turns to Robin mumbles, "At least Klarion did his own dirty work and didn't hide under his mother's skirts!" Klarion nearly gets burnt alive trying to save his crazy ass family! Which is pretty protective and self-less if you think about it! Mordred, mordred is a spoiled brat that tries to I believe overtake and imprison his mom! There like perfect opposites! And Morgan Le Fay is just powerful enough to pose a real threat not only to the Team but to the Justice League and the Light! She's like up there with Merlin! Who had in Shazam's powers I think? There you go! Plenty of stuff for ya! I hope it helps!
