well Salem, one way or another, you're likely getting free of your curse, how depends on how diplomatic your feeling. Also, when Xander made that regen ring, he he do it the old way because he forgot or on purpose, I wonder. I mean he can use one mana for a bunch of rings then charge them.

holy shit...do you know how easy it will be for Xander to free Salem of her curse? once that is gone, she will calm down and he will have another ally...cause she is still one of the strongest magic users and once he scans her :D plus she can teach him so many spells
