True story - I was midway through chapter 4, thinking how well written the "Gilbert's tired of fighting" prose was... and then I got to the gut punch twist at the end, and thought, whoa, that was *very* well written! Kudos.

What a splendid surprise when this popped up on my phone! FF giving 2021 a good start. Had to reread the story but damn, the drama and angst were killing me again. Feeling dreadfully sorry for Gil and having empathy for Anne. All these mixed feelings, I wanted to scream at one point because of all the cliffhangers but all the more evidence how this story got to me. I love the girls for their loyalty and providing much needed comedic relief. Interrupting the heat of the moment...holy guacamole...please don’t stop just yet!

AnneNGil here again, wanted to add something to my review.
I seriously am wondering what happens next here. Clearly there was a lot of healing and needing to be healed here-lots of in-the-moment unbridled passion. Will the passion of the moment be gone by the time this reception winds up? Knowing Gilbert, I can see him needing to talk to Anne and establish that they have a relationship. Or do they hurry back to one of their hotel rooms and Gilbert pulls out the condom he's had in his wallet since he was 15 for just this occasion.? Lol! Really hope you are planning another chapter. :-)

You know, it was you posting a new chapter in this story that made me come out from hiding !
That kiss between Anne and Gilbert was everything ! It was beautiful, it was powerful, it was intense, maybe it was a little inappropriate, because they both have had a few drinks at that wedding, but, who cares, Anne and Gilbert are kissing each other !
It is weren't for Stella and Priss interruption, I am pretty sure that they would have been kissing each other much much much longer.
Now, whenever you do have another chapter up, I cannot wait to read it, because, no, Anne and Gilbert shouldn't be embarrassed with each other, because they shared a very passionate and powerful kiss.
I don't think that this kiss should be the exception, I think it should be the moment that they both realise that they love each other !
Or, I could be completely wrong, and you make that moment be the exception and they both will be laughing at it with embarrassment, whenever they will be thinking of that kiss...
P.S. : I hope I still make sense with english writing ?!
