Dont mind backstory. But a chapter fully focused on one feels... Wasted? As it doesnt progress main story especially if nothing big happens in background.
Feels like im excited to read a chapter to be disappointed for no major changes or even progression on main story. And unlike say GoT where it was multiple main stories, this is clear a main and background. So recommendation in future would be to trickle it in here and there where appropriate.

i agree with the sentiment of Tali being too young to look at like that, although from memory shes 22 in me1, not a teenager

Lol I liked the background stuff but don't usually comment. I love the writings. Thanks for your work.

Glad to see him up and about again, and looking forward to seeing ehat he digs up about the slavers that took the Councilor's wife. It'd be great if he got him as a genuine ally.
Eager for next part.

Ok first about reviewing chapters, i find sometimes reviewing every chapter can irritate the author. If i think a comment isn't needed i'll just wait another chapter or two for until the story moves forward a bit more particularly if there's a short chapter. i don't think the writings any less, i just would probably end up repeating something i said in a earlier one.
For a romance i don't see Liara as a good romantic partner. she's still to young ( in relation as still inexperienced both Galaxy and emotionally and still a ' Kid ' like Tali ) to be a good match for Brocks more battle hardened life and lacks a understanding of how emotional scars can affect someone and is literally geared towards Shepard.
By ME2 she's driven by her obsession of the Shadow broker and even romance canon Shepard becomes a tool for her to be used even with the best intentions it's her way or get trampled on and left behind.
By ME3 i honestly believe she's in the very early stages of indoctrination ( enough to be a unknowing sleeper agent or easy to manipulate like TIM ) and that's how she ' happened ' to find the crucible blueprints right when they needed them.
i dont think any any of the Shepard romance options from the Normandy fit Brock, The closest are Miranda and Samara at least they'd understand him better if not in a romantic way.
The Salarians without a doubt would have multiple Bio weapons ready and waiting for every know species including Asari, Turian and Humans. The Asari tactical advantage of biotics, Turians larger military population and Humans adaptability and unpredictabilty put the Salarians at a too big a disadvantage.

Great chapter as always. Was nice seeing everyone’s interaction with Brock after the near death state he was in, especially Valern considering the ultimatum that Brock gave him so long ago. I am interested to see what type of relationship Brock plans for whoever. Should be interesting.
As for the previous chapter, I think the reason why so many people didn’t review, myself included, was because we had a much shorter timeframe between that chapter and this one. My reasoning was, “why bother reviewing that chapter when I can review both one short week later?”. I did like the previous chapter, as it was a nice change and a good setup for what some of the background characters have done, especially their new high profile passenger who now seems to have a crush on someone in Brock’s organization. Go figure.
All in all you did good for both chapters and I’m excited to see what have planned for more later, especially for the Virmire mission. Can’t wait for more. Keep up the great work.
