I really do miss this story, and hope you'll swing back around to this again.
The big draw for me is you having your main character have a purposeful, set large-scale plan that involves business and politics. As you mentioned, so many stories go the easy route of galloping alongside Shepard - or more exactly simply preparing to be an on-the-ground military operative. It IS hard to write a story about business and politics, so I don't blame them, but there's so many ME SI's and OC's that take the Shepard route that its surprising how rare it is to find this type.
On a secondary note, I'm actually finding myself oddly intrigued by your writing of Tevos as being interested in Neilson. I thought you'd take a bit longer to build it up though, your Aria-Tevos conversation was a surprising leap forwards. My view of it is in a sort of 'old couple' manner, so to speak, the two elders quietly co-habitating in peace after the Reaper War and the aftermath.
I'm also looking to seeing in the future whether your secondary characters are more forceful both with Brock regarding his choices as well as in setting out their paths towards their own goals. Right now, they (aside from Aleria earlier) very much seem to be operating as background characters.

SOOOOO AN Entity of higher order is going to send a mortal to rgiht the wrongs in the galaxy affairs. SOOOO WHY THE FK NOT ONE AUTHOR WRITES ABOUT THE SAID ENTITY GIVING THE MC SEMI IMMORTAL / ETERNAL YOUTH BODY and simply toss him or her two or three thousands into PAST with a bit of future technology KNOWLEDGE? ALL those authors write the same type of BS, about mc being placed on citadel or in alliance space or somewhere not even a decade in most cases before the start of canon. WHY THE FK not a hundred or thousand years before canon on EARTH with ETERNAL YOUTH. THE ENTITY WISHES FOR A MORTAL TO DO their work for them they can bestow some BOONS.
YET NO EVERYTIME it is the same old BS, with prancing with SHEPARD or being a Side CHARACTER. WHY NOT BECOME IMMORTAL EMPEROR OR EMPRESS OF SOL.
It disgust me to read one more typical pathetic insertion into canon timeline when there are better alternatives.
