Just one more thing. There are more and more characters. It starts to be troublesome to keep tabs on every single one of them. A list of characters with simple description could be helpful. If you can edit chapters then it wouldn't be a problem to keep lists like that up to date.

Nice chapter. I've loved the story so far. I also have an Idea of what Shieldstar could do later on. Have them be a protection service for the human colonies. Making it cheap-ist so new colonies can have better protection from pirate raids. This would also let them own an army of there own
Also, you can have them work on a care for the genofase(i can't spell it to save my life). Not, the whole thing. He's my thought process on it. Make a cure that also changes the number of eggs they lay like 6 or 8 but have the frailty rates grow to near 100%. That way you can get the krogens on your side and save face from the STD and with a way to say that this will stop a second krogon rebellion and keep the species alive. Just my thoughts on that.

I love it.
If i read it correctly brock found 8 asteroids right? So much money! Now he can get the ball rolling. I like his idea to warm up galaxy for humans, if only he could change Udina for someone better. But dickhead is probably to secure to touch. Volus getting more power is also a good move. If they see that his idea work he will get a Volus Banks backing. Well i can't write it less chaotic but: I like characters interactions. I like where story is going and I love aliens experiencing human culture!
I still can't wait for Brock to introduce pokemon to galaxy:
"Ha! My Onix just crushed you tiny Scyther to the ground. Still think that challenging Me was a good idea turian?"
"How would I know that a Krogan Mercenary would have so many max leveled Pokemon's Wrex?"
"Well. I think I have a 15 level Geodude. Pick any Pokemon you have, you still will eat dirt."
"Okay. Let's see how you will like my MAX leveled Charizard."

Well, allow me to give me own criticism about some Movies.
I never understood why "Titanic" played out on the Titanic. This story by cameron is about jack and rose, not the titanic, that's just background noise. Background noise that spoils the end o the movie while you're watching it but still, the titanic is just around to be background. Cameron could've put them on another boat and not spoil his own movie...
The first Matrix" movie is nice, the other two bash you other the head with the philosophy o determinism so hard that they actually manage to spoil the movie's endings. And in the end, nothing of substance happened in the sequels except the declaration that everything in the first one was for nothing as well. Yay.
Matrix and terminator would've made the quarians shit their enviro-suits though...
I think krogan would've noticed that humans in action movies are hilariously bad at aiming sometimes. So much so that some weapons don't even have the most primitive aiming assistances. I figure the turians would figure that some humans actively dislike aiming. Some action vehicles of the 80's have people aiming pistols with one hand while the other just hangs casually to the side. A decade later some "ghetto" movies have some people aim with one hand again, except that they're actively doing it wrong. Do humans hate aiming?

Man this story is quickly becoming one of my most looked forward to for updates stories atm. It also had me go and check out some of the other mass effect ffics as my previous experience had not been great with stories in the mass effect universe, they all seem to just fallow Shepard while not really changing anything. Great story and wanna see more soon! happy holidays.

Like always good chapter, things gets more and more interesting especialy with posibility that the Volus will be much more powerfull when the reapers came. As for volus and their capabilities in ground warfare, in codex is mentioned that they fight in armored exosuits but because of cost and lack of power armor reaserch they are expensive and in consequence wery rare, if someone(hint hint) would invest in this business they would see much both profit and favor of volus. Also it came to me that if Brock would use his money he could find or intercept Rachni Queen egg and if he convinced her that he only want to help and stop "the machines" then he have fantastic workforce that don't need money and can work in some far away system to produce whothever he want. Or intercept her after the Virmire mission if you don't want to mess with canon. Now aboout the new races well I don't see that coming so good job with suprise just one question, will they play some role in future or are they just mentioned? Also if he want to have some usefull tech then he can come to Therum, after all ther is both the Prothean force field and that bublle field that Liara was trapped. Also there is the Reaper wreck in Thorne system in Hawking Eta claster and whothewer killed it, in Mass Effect 2 is said by TIM that they find it when they traced from were was shot the bullet that created big crater on planet Klendagon and that they found WHAT have shot it so they have something that can guts out a Reaper. And lastly what about medi-gel? IF is not yet created Brock could invest in the corporation that make it or compeletly take over it to score massive profit and prevent Salarians from stealing the formula. Like always you can use or not my ideas in story and good luck writing, I alwayslook for next Chapter. And Merry Christmas:).
