I supposed it helps that he wants to get help. Because for his level of trauma, i'd imagined years of therapy...probably entire life. His is basically super accelerated healing.
Though it speaks to the darkside in me that i wanted to know what he meant when he said 'he got them all'. Does it mean he get the whole gang, including the criminal 'boss'...or just all of them in the compound.
How come he didn't wish for biotics? or even some esoteric knowledge... like weapon handling/ martial arts knowledges/ etc etc?

I was worried in Chapter one when the Brock referenced "those other SI fan fics". I was very wrong to be worried!
You have kept to the tone set in Chapter one with our hero confronting his obstacles proactively. This is rare in any story, and makes for a fantastic read.
Characterization is another bright point for Brock, Aria and Tevos. All layered and interesting people in their own right (damn if Brock's background is compelling as hell). The only thing I would point out is all other secondary characters fade a little to much into the background. But play to your strengths and have a central cast that the plot revolves around.
Thank you for writing. I wait anxiously for the next instalment.
I would make a read recommendation. Dodging Prison and Stealing Witches - Revenge is Best Served Raw. It's Harry Potter fan fiction that reminds me of this story in the best possible way.

The Patriot, a pile of innacurate racist bullshit that has as much in common with historic fact as Pirates of the Caribbean. Anyway, I love this story, it's bloody brilliant. With how Brock is acting I'm surprised he hasn't shown the Lethal Weapon trilogy.

Damn good work. Just discovered your/this fanfic. Its great, more depth than most and just something I've been looking for. It's truely fine work. Thanks for this.

Greetings, Jotun here with a slightly altered handle since I actually opened a FF account ;)
Not that I am going to write anything but the odd review and the occasional contribution for a 2005 WW3 series where the Wall never fell (The Last War by Jan Niemczyk), however...
Anyway, love to see you back, and this great story continuing. Please do not feel obligated to give my fevered suggestions more than a glance. It is just that as soon as something catches my attention, I tend to get VERY enthusiastic and the ideas flood in, especially if it is in a field where I do have some knowledge. Military stuff tends to be one of those things, and to be honest, Bioware never bothered to give their take on a SciFi military more than a passing reality check.
Just thinking about the ME series' sowdown, with the combined fleets merrily launching their mass accelerators at the Reaper fleet WITH EARTH JUST BEHIND THE REAPERS, FFS! (ahem...) gives me an elevated blood pressure rate...for example. How many hundreds of those projectiles are missing their targets going to impact on Earth?
Your fic at least gives the impression that you are going to think about this and trying to avoid the nonsense Bioware has managed to give us.
Happy New Year,
Jotun

I really love the reviews from the movies. Crack me up every time I read them. Poor Brock, I don’t know if getting the attention of The Pirate Queen of the Galaxy is either a blessing or curse. Til next chapter!
PS give the Krogan their dinosaur, it’s their greatest desire.

Buying slaves to free them only gives slavers more capital to enslave more people. I believe you have a plan where he uses this chance to free slaves without supporting the slavers.
