You sure are amazing, aren’t you? STILL keeping it up with this masterpiece, I mean, even when it’s clear this will never be as popular as your other stories. At least *you* make an effort to deliver quality, AND it actually WORKS.

*sigh* I don’t know what will get Zod to quit, though, short of caving his head in with a heavy, blunt object. Even then, I’m worried whatever anybody used would just bounce off his thick skull. Ah, well. If blunt force trauma doesn’t work... you’re just not using enough, as the saying goes. ;) Now, where was I? Ah, yes...

Since I KNOW a lot of people are gonna miss this masterpiece, due to this being in a less then popular fandom, to put it charitably, even though they should y’all curl up with this good story of yours.

It’s got everything you could want from a story in general: great characters that develop organically through their respective arcs, amazing action scenes ((which have been a ton of fun for me to read, btw), great location descriptions, a healthy fleshing out of the lore and backstory of DC, and many additional scenes that make it a cohesive story!

It’s tricky to keep track of all the plot threads at times, I admit, but there’s a special kind of satisfaction that comes with paying off something you set up in chapters previously. So I hope others will join you on this incredible adventure. Adapting DC and bringing it to life is truly a pleasure and a privilege, and I feel honoured that I’m the one reading this. Meanwhile, all your adult Bruce should feel is utter shame. Shame, for trying to destroy a hero, and shame for lacking even the slightest bit of awareness that he was doing more harm than good. At least Superman only targets genuine rule-breakers- I.E. the guilty who actually DESERVE it. Bruce, on the other hand, just tosses out his boilerplate bullshit without rhyme or reason. So, to wrap up, fuck him, and let him rot in hell.

Author Reply: Thank you for the fantastic review. Although I find your judgement of Bruce to be a bit harsh, I am loving this. Thanks again.

An interesting turn of events. Good character interaction.

Man, what a twist! I never expected Tiffany to be his sister, nor that Clark saved the Waynes from their deaths! I really like the affection between teen Bruce and his girlfriend - I hope they don't break up or that this reality is kept intact.

Pete trying to sow the seeds of discord between Jaclyn and Bruce, the poor fool really thinks he has a chance with her, doesn't him? It was very fun to see Jaclyn turning the tables on him and pretending that she thought he was actually interested in Bruce rather than in her (even though she knew the truth)

I'm really loving the friendship between Teen Bruce and CK. It's nice that they think their lives would suck without each other as best friends, and Bruce saying CK is definitely on the list of people who are important to him. Definitely a stark contrast with the Knightmare from where Bruce comes from.

Love how Adult Bruce gives himself credit, as in it would take Kal-El two minutes to kill him (a normal human surviving two minutes against Superman is quite a feat), while Teen Bruce is realistic and says it would only take a second LOL

Loved the reveal that Tiffany is Bruce's sister. Nice to see the jaded and cynical older Bruce getting touched and almost crying by the reveal that he has a sibling here.

Nice nod to comic book canon to have Adult Bruce mention his photographic memory too.

And now the paranoid Knightmare Bruce thinks Kal-El is trying to use Young Bruce as a pawn by gaining his loyalty after saving the parents. Very nice cliffhanger.

Fantastic chapter as usual.

Wow, I'd forgotten about this, over four years ago. Good that you continued. I wonder how much is left.

Solid dialogue, as always. Quite the tension in the car ride. Interesting scene w/Kal-El revealed as the man who rescued Bruce's parents.

Figured I'd continue. Nice writing.

I'm very intrigued so far. So, is Bruce in some alternative version of the past? I see a couple of punctuation errors here and there, but overall this looks good so far! :)

Interesting. So Alfred has a daughter? How could Bruce not know about that? I see one or two punctuation errors here and in the last chapter, but overall, this is looking good so far. Keep it up! :D

Pretty brutal intro with the "Knightmare" scenario. Couldn't Flash phase through Clark's hands, though? Looking good so far. I don't suppose there's any chance of the Main Man Lobo appearing in this, is there?

Great story so far. You have me very interested in what alternate reality Bruce is in; and what Superman is going to do.
Hope you continue soon.

Hey there. I have returned for a review exchange, and I am glad to see that you have posted a new chapter, even though it was only last month, lol. Anyway, let's get right to it.

At the first scene, I was going to say that using the title card can be distracting to most readers, myself included, but seeing that the adult Bruce is in the past, I'll leave it alone. After all, everyone has different tastes when it comes to title cards.

Very descriptive start as Bruce (the adult one) ventures into his home. Perhaps this is a good time for him to renew whatever past memories that might have been lost long ago, even as he was growing.

Oh no, the teen Bruce had a nightmare about losing his parents (although the adult Bruce made a good guess), and that Jaclyn and C.K. "made out" in front of him? Whoa, what kind of dream did he have?

Okay, now the adult Bruce is wondering who C.K. is, as well as if he had any past girlfriends such as Lucy Lane. Those repressed memories are slowly coming back to him.

Wow, a movie caused the teen Bruce to have that nightmare? Interesting. You know, I have a book that talks about this kind of thing. It is called The Illustrated Dream Dictionary (I got it from Barnes and Nobles long ago before I got introduced to Amazon Kindle, lol). Anywho, this book refers about dreams and how it is interpreted. When it comes to seeing stuff on TV, movies, things of that sort and you have a dream about it, it is often disregarded. In teen Bruce's case, his nightmare first started with his parents being shot, and I guess things got twisted. Very good book to check out.

And as always, typical teenagers go on with their little jokes every now and then.

Oh, so Jaclyn was another victim of that alien invasion in the adult Bruce's timeline, and now, he's telling her to get out of Metropolis in 2015. Although I suppose that's a good thing, the adult Bruce needs to realize that he's in the past, and messing with the past could have serious consequences, so he has to tread carefully.

Oh snap, General Zod comes on TV to send out a message, and the adult Bruce is not happy on the fact that Superman had brought the alien invasion too early. I hope something can be done about this.

Great story overall. I did not see any SPaG or any wrongdoings.

Another good chapter, Adult Bruce notice that teen Bruce may know who Superman is.

No! -Slaps Supey’s hand.- No, I say! No incinerating Bruce! Sorry, but, I’m team Batman, through and through. And, I’m also DC over Marvel, so far. Yay, you go, Speedster! Huuh? Nooo! He’s… deep fried? Running on a cosmic treadmill would be interesting, for sure. I like the action. Good descriptions. I strive to write longer chapters like you have got, there. What the heck, Alfred? Ooh~, haha.

Hm...and interesting change to the timeline. I think I am just a little confused on how young Bruce knows Superman (who I'm assuming is C.K.), but I hope to find out soon. I'm still also going to be watching to see how all these other changes have occurred, unless Superman changed more prior to bringing the invasion on early. I like the touch with Jaclyn having ties to the previous timeline. I do feel like the teenagers are feeling a little too comfortable with adult Bruce who clearly is acting with odd behavior. Still, story's keeping me interested.

Best,
Zad
