Ugh, why do narrator's in all these stories feel the need to tell the reader how cute and adorable Groot is,? It's one thing if a character says it, but the narrative should allow the reader to decide what they think or how they're viewing a scene, pointing out it's cute if diminishes anything that may be considered cute later in the story.
And the word "cute" is a word that can only be used once. It's one of those words that if you read it on the first page, then see it again a dozen chapters and hundreds of pages later, you get the feeling you've just read it a few pages prior. I don't know what it is about those words that have that effect, but there have been times when I only read it twice but could have sworn it was used far more.
