Very touching. I like the short note Sonic left at the conclusion. The story would be even better with less telling and more showing of Amy's emotions through her actions. (Also, try to avoid the cliché single tear on the cheek, that takes away from the realism of crying.) The read is kinda choppy with the brief sentence structures, maybe shake it up a bit in that regard. But the story is nice. I hope you'll feel better soon and keep on writing.
