This is pretty good, and the chakra saturated mist prevents Orochimaru from locating Sasuke nearly as easily. Especially since it's saturated with two heavy chakra signatures. Hope you come back with updates.

To be blunt, I adore this story. Not only is it Yagura-centric, but it's incredibly well-written. You're not just having him instantly redeemed and accepted. He didn't instantly turn nice either. Yagura is one of my top three favorite characters and there's practically nothing on him. You've certainly done my favorite Kiri nin justice~! Please keep up the hard work! I will be bookmarking this wonderful work and continue checking in on it from time to time!

Oh wow, somehow I see that encounter as being much more shocking to Gaara than the canon event at the invasion ever was. Go Yagura! And I was surprised Kakashi would go so far to try and save face like that by outright lying on a report, or at least not telling the Hokage in private.

Awesome. Yagura can do nartutos therapy jutsu. And he is great at it. I'm really happy for Gaara. I can't wait for the next chapter. Hopefully we will get to see Yagura against Orochimaru. That stupid snake won't know what hit him.
Speaking of which, Im really surprised, that you uploaded so quickly. I love your story and hope it continues soon.

i think you focusing too much on yagura, naruto is mostly useless and never done anything significant until now.
And naruto was pretty pathetic in the first exam like his canon self (how after being trained seriously in the mist, he can't notice he must cheating, or know the name of other hidden villages, etc).
Also, it was already naruto role to save the waves, and it was also supposed naruto role to change gaara, but you given this role to yagura again.
Could you stop stealing naruto shining moments in favor of yagura.
Also have naruto awake his father and clan talent (aka fuinjutsu genius once in ten generations, chakra chain, uzumaki karin like sensor, being smart etc).
Naruto was better and far more significant in the original story.

I really love Yagura. That guy is so cool. One of the most interesting Jinchuriki, with one of the most versatile Bijuu if correct used.
A pity that there aren't so much stories about him. Speaking of which, I really like yours. The idea of Naruto becoming a kirinin is really interesting. With his background and his new bond to yagura this will surely be interesting. I can't wait for the chuunin exams. Orochimaru will get in trouble, if this team decide to participate.
And the changes you described in konoha. It seems the more nice and stable kiri becomes the more ruthless konoha gets. I wonder if Itachi will search sanctuary in Kiri. I wouldn't be surprised, since Yagura seems to look for the missing kiri shinobi he surely will come across Kisame and then he will meet Itachi as well.
I think that would be quite possible, since Yagura has some interest in the Uchiha clan through his experience and Itachi is so only possible candidate for the genjutsu at the moment.
I'm really looking forward to the next chapter and I hope I won't have to wait for the next update so long.

So finally naruto mist team crossed with konoha and naruto told sasuke why he left.
But kinda a pity, that yagura taken naruto spot as hero of waves.
