Great story, I partly wish you had this follow the opening of the Vikings Drama reinactment series with them first launching raids into England, Jaune would make an Excellent Athelstan character, as someone who is captured and struggles with handling his faith being diverted to Norse lore from Christian Mythos.

Ooh, very nice. Points for realism, and even more points for the descriptions of the rain, the fog, the aftermath of the battle. General atmospheric stuff. I wonder if you could pass to some of that art; I don't think I've seen it yet.
