I find very little that is actually redeemable about Ginny. Oh she's so gutted about what she did, is she? She regrets her totally childish behavior and unfair treatment of Poppy, yeah? Sure, do everything BUT admit what she did and the way she treated Poppy. Ugggggggggh. I just can't seem to like this girl at all.
Also I hate how she's all..."We can take it anymore, Poppy your gone" Go jump off your broom, girl. Don't act like you know anything that matters about Poppy.

I honestly hope and pray that your muse finds her way back into your dreams for this one. I've re-read this fic so many times I'm starting to lose count. I love it more every single time I come back to it.
Every time I get to sixth year, though, I want to mentally kill Harry for all the (in my opinion) irreparable damage he does to his bond with Poppy. Honestly, Ron is the only one that comes out of this whole thing smelling somewhat like a rose. I understand that Poppy is also at fault for not voicing her issues and allowing her friends to truly understand where she is coming from...I get that they are teens and not fully functional adults with depth and wisdom that would allow them to understand and appreciate these delicate situations.
But my god, it's so hard to be rational about this when we all KNOW how much of herself Poppy has given to her friends over the years. I just...she does so much, in big and small ways, to soothe their feelings, to build them up when no one else sees they're hurting and it breaks my heart that they are not capable of doing the same for her.
I especially hate that everyone, and Harry who is supposed to know her best, always assumes that she did something wrong and that HER feelings are less valid that everyone else. In this chapter alone, Harry places more importance and displays more empathy for how Hermione and Ginny are feeling than Poppy. Like...what the literal f*ck? Twin bond my ass.
I know eventually he comes around, but honestly I truly hope Ginny and Poppy never become friends. Not because I don't think people are capable of growth and change, but because I honestly believe that if Poppy was never found to be a Potter and she remained the best friend of Harry Potter forever, Ginny would have NEVER had this sudden change of heart. She would have continued being awful and rude and just an all around absolute bitch to a girl that never said one unkind word to her until their confrontation.
I hope Harry and Hermione truly realize, in a big way, how much they take Poppy for granted and how little value they place on her feelings over everyone else's.
If you can't tell how invested I am in this story. That heated rant should be proof enough. I truly love this story and I'm absolutely grateful for the escape it provides from everyday life. You've crafted a story here that has real heart and depth, and you've created a character that I actually "miss" when watching the movies or re-reading the series. I commend you for creating such a dynamic and realistic addition to the HP verse. I hope to read more from you soon!

Ah, I’m surprised by how quickly I fell in love with this story! I really like how the scene played out with Poppy lashing out and finally showing off some of the ‘Darker’ side of herself that she unfortunately grew up into, and I hope to see more of it in action!
I thought I had a decent guess as to who her Papa is but I’m not exactly sure anymore... idk, but I hope to see a new chapter soon! :]

A couple of chapters back, you asked who we might want to see Poppy paired with...after giving it some thought, here's what I've concluded.
I'd be so totally cool with Poppy maybe dating the eldest Weasly, just to highlight for everyone that she's just THAT brilliant at charming even some of the most honorable men with her wit and beauty. While I'm kinda still secretly rooting for a Sirius/Poppy outcome, I think Bill would be a really interesting choice to explore as well. I think the running theme here is that Poppy feels a little too mature to date her school mates. Whenever I try to picture her paired with someone, it's always someone older. Plus, I was never really married to the idea of Bill and Fleur in cannon.
Also, older suitors have the added bonus of driving James and Harry absolutely MAD! Just my two cents.
