So many feels! The way you convey all his emotions, the sorrow, the guilt, but also his love and determination are just so perfect and the same goes for Akemi, even as a fragment of Subaru/Akai's memkry feels so real and her words are just as penetrating to the reader as they are to shuichi. And the bold phrases that divide the different part of the story...they add so many feelings and there is something kind of poetic in the way you wrote this ff. It's just so perfect.

I hope that (in the future) we got to see this side of the story even in "Hidden behind those eyes" after he knows of her death, altough I admit that I hope that it will diverge a "bit" from canon and that she won't really die and that we will have a more happy ending for them... I just like to see how her death affected him, so I would like to see a bit of it, maybe with everyone believing her dead but she actually survived...I don't know. Obviously, I would still love and read your story even if you decided to follow the canon storyline, It would be amazing regardless. I don't want to come off as someone that is trying to push you to writing what I want, I fully believe the writer should write what he wants and think best and, besides, it's going to be a long time before "Hidden behind those eyes" reach this timeline (if it ever will, considering you could decide to finish it before). So yeah, sorry if I'm rambling about your other ff in this story's review it's just that I loved it so much (same for Kaito and Ako's story) and, consodering they have the same pairing it kind of made me think about it.

Anyway, thanks for writing this ff, it really pulls at a person's heartstrings.

Awww this was so sweet and sad. I always get teary eyed when I think of Akemi and Akai, and all the "what ifs"... especially since we were introduced to Akemi first and then realized that THIS STUFF IS HAPPENING RIGHT THEN when Akai was flash-backing to it. It's a weird feeling of disconnect but it adds to the poignancy of the series. Love it!
