All I can say is: At least Harry's powers made it possible for Chloe to say goodbye. It will be a long, harsh sickness for her but she's likely to see the light at the end of the tunnel now, especially because she has Max there for her.

Another good chapter, I still like the way this story is moving along. And am still finding it very entertaining and I still like the way it is handling the interplay of the main characters. This Harry Potter is much darker than any I have read before. I usually do not read such dark stories, but there is just something I find very compelling about your take on a dark Harry Potter. As before I await in great anticipation to see where it goes from here.

David has a huge blind-spot when it comes to his duties. When there is trouble, he decides who is responsible first (Chloe, Rachel and Kate 'bringing it on herself') and then investigates backwards from there to find proof to back up his prejudices. Basically, he has a huge arrogance issue that basically takes Max walking him over to the Dark Room and explaining everything in words of one syllable to break.

I suspect that Harry and Hermione are going to spend most of the day doing Obliviations.
As for the elementals sent after Chloe? Well, that was just stupid. Someone is clearly trying to warn Harry about what is happening whilst APPEARING to be obeying the Council's decision.
