God I loved this story! I’m not a great reviewer (critics are hacks) but I will say this story succeeded several times in making me grin like an idiot, tear up, and desperate to read the next paragraph. I especially loved the chapter where Mae freaking knocked the the goth right out of Bae! I mean holy crap dude, that whole scene was amazing in a sad way! You made me FEEL things dagnabit! And isn’t that what writing is about sometimes, making your reader feel what you do? At its best it’s a form of true telepathy. Anyway it’s 4:00 AM and I should get to sleep. Keep writing if it means something to you and never give up. Know that you made something that really matters to someone else. Sometimes that’s all we can hope for.

I have read this story from start to finish the moment I read the first chapter, the more I continued the more latched I was to the point where I felt like I was playing the game again. Everyone was beautifully in character, the astronomy sub-plot was fantastic and it was just an overall great experience.
However the final chapter was by far the best I have ever seen, it was the greatest sense of closure I've ever seen and I'll admit it brought forth a deep sadness in me, but that's a good thing.
This is by far the most lengthy review I have ever left but you deserve nothing more, I have had my own fic idea but I feel like it will never even come close to holding a candle to this wonderful piece.
If you do go with your idea with writing another NITW story I will definitely check it out without hesitation.

Hey, me again! This is pretty good, and although I know nothing about the characters, what is so great about this writing is that I can get a pretty good idea without NitW veterans getting bored with what is to them needless exposition.
And by the way, I was lucky enough to be about an hour's drive away from the totality band. Sorry you missed it, but only 7 more years until it hits America again...

Holy hell...I don't know what to say besides this being amazing.
You write the characters just as well as they're written in game, and you make them retain their personalities..
I'm glad I found this because I eagerly await to see what becomes of this story.
