The funny thing was, the advert next to this recview was for the blue oasis veterinary clinic, and had a picture of a puppy. Also, until I figured out that Jaune only turns into a puppy I was confused by the crocodile tear comment. Makes sense now though, so that makes it seem even better!
Anyway, this story seems pretty cool. I can imagine how awkward it would be to just randomly turn into a puppy during a serious combat situation. It does lead to the question, do Grimm care about Jaune when he turns into a dog? Because they only fight animals based on territory, which makes me wonder if it is Grimm and animals that have territory, or just animals? And how will his team react? Is it ever useful in a fight, when you take wonderzwei the fireball (end of season 2) into account? Anyway, I like the idea, and look forward to more!

... after having read a lot of wired Jaune centric fanfics, this only reaches a 7 or 8... Still wanna see more, don't think that, this can still lead to much shenanigans
