It kills me that Ron is by himself and wants it that way. I wish Hemrione, especially, would go to him. Find him, and demand answers. I know they talked last chapter but, still. I know they’re supposed to be a threesome in this story (or that’s what I got from your explanation). As a Romione fan, it’s hard for me to see it like that. Was the Auror alluding that Harry and Hermione romantically involved? Or just a loving friendship. Hope non of this is critical or brings you down. I thoroughly enjoy this story!

So happy to see a new chapter. It is excruciating to read about what he has and is going through. That there is part of him that is so tired that he just wants to die breaks my heart. But then there is the side of him that still wants to help Harry and Hermione despite everything.

I noticed that the part Kingsley plays here is very similar to the role he played in Stay Standing. He knows the truth about Ron and he is the intermediary who is both helping Ron and helping him to be separated from the people he needs the most. He is caring yet also focused on what may be the greater good. Also, like in Stay Standing, Ron has something inside of him that is evil and could kill him - something that must be gotten rid of but a what cost.

Looking forward to the next chapter. I know at some point Ron will be reconciled with Hermione and Harry - here's hoping that it is sooner rather than later.

Oh, my poor Ron. This sounds just like him, punishing himself far more than anyone else ever could. He still doesn't realize Harry and Hermione need him, and won't be truly happy until he's reunited with them. Good chapter, thanks for posting.

I feel like every time i see another chapter of this story has been posted, i have to mentally prepare myself for the emotional damage it is about to cause.

This chapter is heartbreaking. God damn is he a stubborn sod. The section with Prang had me crying. I don't know how you do it, but you write Ron absolutely perfectly.

Looking forward to more.

This is actually a review for chapter 7 or chapter 10 as will not let me comment on the same chapter twice and I reacted way too subdued at the time.

So there is that guy. He's your absolute best friend in the world and you've lost him during two years, and you had no idea of his whereabouts and whether he was alive or dead. Miracle! He's actually alive! He's not a traitor either! Awesome! He's suffering from crippling PTSD and he's wearing the weight of the bloody Sun in guilt on his shoulders, but it's okay, he's back, you can resume your relationship with him, you can come in and take care of him and -
... ah. Or you can tell him off. You can... very well... you do realize he's been tortured for two whole years- wait what are you seriously calling him a coward- what do you bloody mean make it up to everyone else?! What the FUCK? Hey look he's almost choking with guilt you could give him a fucking break - oh of course make him CRY why don't you -

After the bullcrap you pulled on him, I think he's pretty much entitled to despise you with his whole being, but you know what, he's actually still in love with you and God knows you don't deserve it, but that's how it is because Ron is pure and precious and you're a cold-hearted selfish bitch, Hermione Jane Granger.

May I also point out the moment of absolute heartbreak that was Delusion!Ron's line? "Kill him, Harry. Kill me." If I am correct in my suspicions then... oh my god. Oh my god somebody join me in my quest to give Ron the biggest hug. If these entitled egotistic bastards that are Harry and Hermione won't love him properly then we will.
