I feel like that office meme right now “OKAY, ITS HAPPENING! EVERYONE STAY CALM”, with you just mentioning Robert and Lily lol. I am so excited. This fic has been such a fun ride and I love all the stepping stones you’ve laid out but I will admit that I’ve been foaming at the mouth wondering when Robert and Lily would come to fruition XD. I am excited to see your characterization of him and how Lily will affect him.
I have always been curious what an au would like with a Robert where things happen differently and explore how that might make him grow to be a different person. I admire you for making that choice because I know some people have disagreed with this pairing, even though you clearly stated the pairing intentions from the beginning. All this to say that I am really looking forward to what’s next :)

Well this chapter answered the question of how Robert and Lilian potentially come to be together. Yeah, they have met, talked, and even fought together but that doesn't mean they know each other. Lily doesn't have a desire to sit on the throne and I can't imagine Robert putting her name forward as a potential wife/queen. Especially after Lyanna showed up and made her whole spiel about Rhaegar and their actions. Which DAMN I don't know if it would be better or worse if she had that rant alone with Robert or in public with other Lords and Ladies around to hear it. I so want to know how Robert reacted to that, the drama of it all!
