I understand you stop the story but I was deeply saddened and disappointed by outcome of this story and sholts relationship of others keeping his identity especially with aoi which upsets me alot. But I truly wish that you rewrite the story which could give a better outlook and journry for sholt because he deserve better.

While this story was unfortunately cancelled, I like to hope had it continued, Sholt and Aoi would have reconciled and ended up together, Mimi would gain a human body, and Dion Giro would have gotten his well deserved karma for all that he had done. Cross-VRAINS (2017-2019)

I've definitely felt the unfortunate sting of having a story get possibly too ambitious/too out of control to continue with, and needing a break.
It's been forever, so I doubt you remember, but I was actually writing a fanfic that you, at one point recommended. And, just as you feel, I definitely got big-headed, given that Arc-VOC was my inspiration to begin writing fanfics in the first place, and you were sort of like my...I don't wanna say "god" or "hero", but that's honestly more accurate than anything else I could use. At that point, to me, I didn't think you could do anything wrong. Everyone you wrote was like the gold standard to me.
Since then I've definitely stepped back and revaluated my own writing and how I look at others, and it definitely feels I'm in a better place there now. Now I can at least see when something doesn't work in the story (although I'll admit I don't often point those out in reviews. Just not how I prefer to do it). And I will also say that for as much as I enjoyed Cross-VRAINS, I agree with many of your points, specifically WISPs, and Delietes.
I think taking a break from attempting this for a bit is a good call, and can give you time to reevaluate it all. I eagerly anticipate if you do indeed try once more, but support the decision you make regarding them regardless.
One thing I do want to address is your comment about feeling "a bit big-headed" regarding the success of Arc-VOC. Of course, I can't say for sure, since I'm not in your head (OR AM I!?). But Arc-VOC has had such a large impact on so many of the people of us who've read it. I was inspired to write because of it, and due to that, I'm now writing on a regular basis and intend to do so for my future. I've certainly seen a good number of other stories that cite Arc-VOC as an inspiration as well.
All in all, what I want to say is that, while nobody should get big-headed over their achievements, I still believe you should live in pride/happiness/contentness with what you made. I'm not saying don't see it's faults or anything like that. Just appreciate what it's done is all I wanted to say. (and chances are you already know this all and now I just sound like a douche...)
TLDR: It was a good time, but I fully support your decision to do what you feel is right for the story and characters.
~~and hey maybe now vision mix and my hero story can get some love~~

Hope you make a steady recovery. It’s fine it’s your choice on your story though since arc v you concluded it off better than the anime there’s no reason for you not to be able to do the same here, it’s been going well at the moment and would’ve love to see how you ended it off.
