That was a beautiful story. It was a bit heartwrenching in places but a lovely ending made up for it all. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.

I was alternating between smiling like an idiot and tearing up in class while reading this. Thank you SO MUCH for this story and I loved itLike, can we talk about how cute they both are in this piece? I'm still smiling like an idiot thanks to you)

This was absolutely perfect! Everyone was in character and I loved that Theseus and Leta weren't written as assholes (pardon my language) as well as Theseus and Newt's brotherly relationshipAnd if you ever wrote this story from Newt's POV I would definitely read it. (Especially the Howler, I wonder how Theseus would react HAHAHAHAHA ;P) Nice work!

THAT WAS SO CUTE. LOVE IT SO MUCH. I would love a companion piece or sequel if you're so inclined. This was perfect.

Wow. This story was so beautiful, I almost cried several times!

Gorgeous ending.
Love everything that happened in the case; from the kisses, to Dougal walking in with Pickett on his back (very amusing) and Newt telling her he's been on the tree ever since she left London, and now that he was forgiven, Pickett should do the same.
And Queenie sent him a Howler. Oh that was hysterical. Love how Theseus is now nervous about meeting her.
And when they get back to the apartment, Newt simply opens his mind to Queenie and she forgives him. Loved the 'It's so good to see you again, honey'.
Tina showing Newt his book and asking if he'd sign it was lovely and his message was even more lovely.
The comparison of that night at dinner to their first dinner together was great.
And I love the journals that will update the other immediately.
Fantastic story.

Awww. They're so cute.
Love that Tina got to The Prancing Unicorn to find Newt had asked that she be given a key if she came over. Bianca telling her he was cute and she was lucky was great.
Her trying to sort of her thoughts by writing them down was great, and I love when suitcase opened, Newt simply said 'You came', while all she said was that she had questions.
His reason for not having Leta's picture anymore was beautiful, and love how when she asked him if this is what he wanted, he called her Porpentina and she knew he did.
And after they order room service he asks her to stay.
Even if it's only to sleep.

Wow. Just beautiful.
Good thing Tina started with the book. Love that she was so proud of him, regardless of what the letter contained and where their relationship went from there, and that she knew she'd be reading the book again.
And then the letter...
I can't copy it all in the comments, but all of it was wonderful. His backstory with Leta was done very well (and depending on what Crimes of Grindlewald holds, could be even better than that): friends because of mutual interests and, though they did go further than friends in some ways, emotionally it was never anything more than platonic.
The explanation of his expulsion and the part Leta played in it was very nice. I particularly liked how she asked him to not say it was her, but also didn't say he had to take the blame. And of course, Dumbledore would work out even more of the story.
Theseus' relationship with Leta was also wonderfully done. He loved her, but was definitely unhappy that she had lied to him.
Newt saying he hadn't been working nonstop on the book just because he wanted it finished, but wanted it finished for her was beautiful. As was his statement that she, Queenie and Jacob were the best friends he's ever had.
And then he told her he loved her.

Lovely.
Tina still waiting for time to heal her wounds - and not just those of Newt - was a lovely way to start the chapter.
Her going for walks is lovely, and I like how, whether she's happy or sad, she gets something out of it. Looking up at the angel statue and the two girls running around it and thinking of her and Queenie was very sweet.
And then Newt arrives. Their actions towards each other were perfect; not ignoring each other, or being mean and scathing, but clearly not happy, and letting the other know that.
Newt apologising and offering her the letters along with the book was beautiful, and I love that when she got home, Tina was glad she was alone. Her throwing out the title of the book as a joke, and finding he actually used it was wonderful.
And Newt's in town for a little longer...

Sweet.
Really like how in the morning, Tina was thinking about her parents rather than Newt, because her mother's words from when she was young tied in to what she was feeling about Newt the night before. And Queenie was there to cheer her up with her favourite breakfast.
Tina offering her sister the chance to visit Jacob at the bakery while she had her meeting at MACUSA was great, but Queenie offering to invite him over for dinner instead (and Tina saying she'd like that) was even better, because she knows she still needs to be there for her sister.
Also loved how their conversation was a discussion of how unfair society could be; from family names to how the No-Majs are more selective about their leaders.

Another sad face.
I love that despite what happened with Newt at the dinner and later in Tina's room and what she thought it meant, she still cleaned Newt up and made sure he was safe and asleep in the case before she left. Because she loves him.
And that she did much the same thing with Theseus, asking him to talk to and take care of him.
Love that Queenie waited up for her and comforted her when she realised what had happened as Tina finally broke down.

Awww. Sad face.
Not much of a surprise that the family dinner - this particular family dinner - would break Newt enough to make him drink. I remember hearing that Leta was Theseus' fiancee so when that was brought I went 'of course'. And that does indeed make it all the more awkward.
The fact that Newt's parents weren't very happy about it, and that Leta's pregnant does not help Newt at all, (And the fact that Tina ran into her at Madame Malkin's...hmmm) but them getting furious when the topic of Tina - from Theseus - comes up makes it so, so much worse.
But Tina listening and trying to comfort him as best she could was wonderful; even if the ending wasn't so great.

Very nice.
Love how her thoughts about Newt disappeared the closer she got to the conference, because Tina the auror needed to be present for that.
I also liked the angle you took with the conference itself - a very brief explanation - before moving on to Tina's talk with Theseus. Like how she reassured him that Newt wasn't going to skip the family dinner just because he was coming to see her. Theseus commenting on how Newt had changed since the trip to New York was great, as was his offer that she would have a place there should she move to England. I love him muttering to himself that he'd need good luck as he walked off.
Tina knowing she and Newt hadn't talked about where their relationship was going but that they needed to was great, and I love how she imagined Queenie's voice telling her it would all be fine.
And her shopping spree in Diagon Alley was perfect. The way she only bought books that she wouldn't be able to get in New York, and decided to buy Queenie a present was spot on.
