Was not sure I would enjoy a story that was little to do with Nick & July.
But expanding the background characters and keeping continuity REALLY made this story special.
Also as a business make I would asking why Mr Gray was not looking to expand into the city along with the Hopps.
Slowly working my way up your body of work, hoping to inspire another short story from me. As I try to think of areas not already written about.
Looking forward to more stories, seem you enjoy shorter ones that longer?

Oh my gosh, I just want to tell you that I think this is my favorite story in the series so far! Yes, I did miss Nick and Judy for most of it, but I liked getting to know this new-ish character. Also, the writing is the best I've seen! I also have to say that while I loved your world-building, previously I did not have a proper appreciation for just how much character-building and developing you have been doing in this series, as described in your author's notes. You gave everyone such depth and heart, I just love what you've done with everything! Thank you for that, and I can't wait to keep reading!
