A lovely story.
However, strangers don't call themselves "du" but "Sie" in German - and that was over 70 years ago! "Entschuldigund, sprechen Sie English?" "Folgen Sie mir, bitte."

Very lovely. Especially loved the ending with Edith giving Marigold Michael's flat. Well written!

Very touching. Thank you.
Although I could see Marigold having a half-sibling or 2. Meant to comment about that with your last story. Edith wasn't that old when she married Bertie and afterall, Mary (1 year older) did have at least one more after she married Henry. BUT that's just my projection for these wonderful characters.

Very lovely fic. Loved it including Marigold marrying the Bates’ son and Sybbie maid of honor. I hope in your head Canon George survived the war.
