It's taken me forever to finally get to the final chapter - my computer has been out of commission. I'm so glad I finally got to it - it's wonderful!
You summed up everything perfectly and left your readers no loose ends to wonder about. Dally and Johnny's life changing experiences in Virginia were meaningful and believable. And, a great way to end it all - with the beginning of it all!
I'll go check out the illustrations later today.

Great ending...I really like the idea that Pony still wrote the book. I know I always wished Johnny and Dally didn't die and I like the idea that in Pony's world, maybe they didn't and he wrote what he thinks would've happened otherwise. A great twist to the end, i was wondering where it would all tie together. Great job on this story=)

Its simply amazing. I am content with the ending, yet sad that it is over. You did an amazing job allowing Dally and Johnny to grow and change. I'm honored that I managed to be one of those along for the ride. I hope you continue to write stories about these two and their friendship - I've loved every journey you've taken them on and look forward to more.
I also looked at the two illustrations you mentioned in the beginning of the epilogue - I loved the one from Chapter 52 - totally warmed my heart.

I've been waiting and waiting to read this chapter, but have only been able to check my email at work and not at home, and I've been too busy at work to read. I'm so glad I finally got to it - what a great ending to your tale! Everything has seemingly turned out so wonderfully that I can't even imagine what your little surprise in the epilogue will be. This is about chapter 47, and Johnny finding a seashell and being so happy about it kind of reminded me about what my friend's mom said.
I found a sea shell and I was happy, and her mom goes, "Maddie, you're making us seem like city slickers. Ooh look, a sea shell, ooh look, a rock!"
